Broadway Bound is a three-week musical theatre summer day camp. Students will work with theatre professionals and music coaches who work in the industry. Special Guest workshops will be presented by actual Broadway stars from New York City!
Students will learn the basics of acting and improvisation, through fun games and theatre exercises aimed at getting students “out of their shell” and working in a group. Basic acting techniques will be taught as well as the “art of auditioning” for school, community and professional endeavors. Students will also be exposed to the world of singing and dancing. Visual and audio examples are used to increase the spectrum of learning. Students have the opportunity to create their own dances, while learning proper vocal technique and how to combine the two.
A must for any budding Broadway star! Students will learn musical numbers, scenes, songs and monologues that they will present at the final showcase!
